Arrive into God’s Own Country today, where you will be met by our local representative in Cochin. Get comfortable in your vehicle and set off for a scenic journey to the backwaters of Kumarakom, nestled in the backwaters of Kerala in Lake Vembanad.
Kumarakom is known for its special geographical features as the place is famous for its backwater stretches and paddy fields. Kumarakom is set in the backdrop of Vembanad Lake which is the largest freshwater Lake in Kerala. On arrival, check in and freshen up for a visit to the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Visit the Sanctuary which provides a close view of migratory birds that come from Himalayas and other far off places.
Later, you might want to opt for a sunset cruise or an Ayurvedic massage, or some yoga and meditation??
This morning, after breakfast get a cultural insight into Kerala lifestyle as you board your kettuvalom or luxurious houseboat to enjoy a laidback day as you cruise past vast paddy fields, picturesque backwaters dotted magnificently by swaying coconut trees – bliss and serenity indeed as you cruise!!
Lunch will be served to you on board. Return to your resort in Kumarakom.
After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady. Arrive in Thekkady and check into your hotel. Later this afternoon, enjoy game viewing by motorized boat on Lake Periyar and indulge in a little shopping at the Spice Market.
This morning, after breakfast, visit the Periyar National Park or the Periyar Tiger Reserve, situated in the mountainous ghats of Kerala. This wildlife sanctuary is home not only to elephants but also to tigers, rare lion-tailed macaques, sambar deer, leopards and the Indian bison. The day is lined up with various interesting activities ranging from Nature walks, Spice Plantation visit, Elephant ride, Elephant Bathing, Night Safari, Follow the Tiger safari and Bamboo Rafting to name a few.
After breakfast this morning, check out and proceed to the quaint hillstation of Munnar, situated in the Nilgiri’s.
Arrive Munnar and check into your hotel.
Later, proceed for a half day city tour of Munnar. Visit Pothamedu view point at the top of the Pothamedu Mountain which gives you a panoramic view of tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in the valley. The mighty green mountains, hills, cool climate and the scenic beauty make it sought after place for trekking,hiking and long mountain walks. Also visit Devikulam a small hill station about 5 kilometres from Munnar in the Theni District of the southern state of Kerala, an idyllic hill station with its velvet lawns, exotic flora and fauna Pallivasal is a village in Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. The first Hydro-electric project in Kerala was established at Pallivasal during the reign of Maharajah Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma.
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel and depart for sightseeing of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty, well known for its highly specialized dairy farm. There are over 100 varieties of high yielding cattle at the specialized dairy farm at Mattupetty. About 15 km from Munnar lies the famous Echo Point. Popular for its natural echo phenomenon, one can always see the area full of eager visitors throughout the year. At an altitude of about 600 ft, people love taking a walk in the lush greenery surrounding the place. It is an ideal picnic spot. Also visit Rajamalai Hill Station - Rajamala is among the finest Hill Stations in Idukki, located around 15 km from Munnar. You're surrounded by what seems like a lush green carpet on all sides. Rare flora and fauna abound along with some of the finest trekking trails in the area. These take you to some of the most wonderful vantage points in the district where the entire valley seems to open up on command. Tea Plantations - A trip to Munnar will be incomplete without having a visit to the tea plantations. Munnar is a spot known for its lovely tea estates and tea cultivation. Nobody will return home without tasting or shopping the essence of Munnar.
Later, proceed to vist Eravikulam National Park, a 97 sq.km park, the natural habitat to the endangered species Nilgiri Thar.

In the evening, time permitting spend time watching the beautiful sunset at Marine Drive.
Wake up this morning to a delicious breakfast and then check out. Proceed to a half day tour of Cochin city. Visit Jewish Synagogue built in 1568, hand painted willow patterned floor tiles from China and ancient scripts on copper plates. Next, visit the St. Francis Church - built in 1503 by Portuguese. This is the first European church built in India. How about a bit of sightseeing by boat? Visit the Dutch Palace - The Mattancherry Palace, a Portuguese palace popularly known as the Dutch Palace, in Mattancherry, which features Kerala murals depicting portraits and exhibits of the Rajas of Kochi. Also the Fort Cochin - A charming seaside area, Fort Kochi is known for its Dutch, Portuguese, and British colonial architecture, and elaborate bamboo fishing nets at Fort Kochi Beach. See the famous Chinese Fishing nets still operated today.
