Today, begin your beautiful journey of Japan with Airtours Holidays. Arrive at Narita Airport where you will be met by your Tour Manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs. The coach will depart from the airport between 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM considering most flights arrive at Narita airport around that time. DAY 02
Guided City Tour of Tokyo – River Sumida Cruise – Visit the Asakusa Sensō-ji Temple – Visit Shinjuku Gyo-en
After a buffet breakfast, proceed on a guided tour of Tokyo. Start with a cruise on River Sumida and enjoy the landscape of Tokyo from the river. Then, visit the 7th Century Buddhist Sensō-ji Temple in the Asakusa District. Also walk through the Nakamise Shopping Street, which has been in existence since the 17th century. Enjoy a local lunch. Drive past the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Visit Shinjuku Gyo-en, that has been around since the Edo Period (1603-1868) as a feudal lord’s Tokyo residence. In 1949 it was dedicated to the citizens of Japan as a public park.

Later visit the Zōjō-ji Temple, an impressive temple complex housing the tombs of six Tokugawa shoguns. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, visit TeamLab Planets and experience immersive art involving light, water, and sound.

Tokyo – Hakone Ropeway – Lake Ashi Cruise – Mount Fuji – On to Nagano

Later, drive to experience the majestic Mt Fuji, Japan’s most famous symbol! Take in the amazing view of the valley below from Mt Fuji (3rd/4th/5th Station – weather conditions permitting). Drive to Nagano and check into the hotel.

Matsumoto – Alpine Route – Murodō – Toyama
After a buffet breakfast, check out. Proceed to enjoy the Japanese Alps. Tateyama experiences some of the heaviest snowfall in the world. Enjoy a local lunch en route. Experience the Murodō snow wonderland along the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. At 2450 meters above sea level, Murodō is the highest point along the Alpine Route. Proceed to Toyama and check into the hotel.

Toyama – Kanazawa – Kenroku-en – Nomura Samurai House – Kinpaku Experience
After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Kanazawa. One of the wealthiest cities in Japan, Kanazawa escaped the devastation of World War II, allowing its historical districts, samurai residences, and traditional art scene to remain intact. Visit Kenroku-en, one of Japan’s three most beautiful gardens. The name Kenroku-en means “having six attributes”. Enjoy a local lunch. Later proceed to visit Nomura Samurai House, a national treasure that provides a fascinating insight into the lives of Japan’s famed warriors. Proceed to experience Kinpaku – the usage of Gold Leaf. Bring back home your own postcard decorated with gold leaf. Later, transfer to your hotel and check in.

Kanazawa – Shirakawago – Kyoto
After a buffet breakfast, check out and visit the Alpine village of Shirakawago- declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. The village is famous for their traditional gassho-zukuri houses, some of which are more than 250 years old. The architectural style developed over many generations and is designed to withstand the large amounts of heavy snow that falls in the region during winter. The roofs, made without nails, provided a large attic space used for cultivating silkworms. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, proceed to Kyoto. Enjoy the views as you witness mountain slopes, streams and pine trees. Upon arrival in Kyoto, check in to your hotel.

Kyoto – Nara – Osaka
After a buffet breakfast, check out and visit Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion). Kinkaku-ji was built to echo the extravagant Kitayama culture that developed in the wealthy aristocratic circles of Kyoto. Later, visit Nijō Castle, the former Kyoto residence of the first shogun of the Edo Period. The castle was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Enjoy a local lunch en route to Nara. Upon arrival in Nara visit Tōdai-ji Temple. The temple was constructed in 752 as the head temple of all provincial Buddhist temples of Japan. The Daibutsuden (Big Buddha Hall), once held the record as the world’s largest wooden building and it houses the largest bronze statue of Buddha in Japan. Later, drive to Osaka.

Excursion to Hiroshima – Miyajima Island – Peace Memorial Museum – Osaka
After a buffet breakfast, transfer to Hiroshima by bullet train. Drive to Miyajima Ferry Pier to embark on a ferry ride to Miyajima Island. See the floating Torii Gates – the second most photographed monument in Japan and see the Itsukushima Jinja Shrine. Take the ferry back to the mainland. Enjoy a local lunch. Drive to Hiroshima – the city where time stood still when it was devastated during World War II by the Atom bomb. See the Cenotaph which is a tribute to all those people who died due to the bombing. See the Atom Bomb Dome – the only building that remained after the bombing which has now become the symbol of Hiroshima. Visit the Peace Memorial Museum. Later transfer to Osaka by Bullet train.

After a buffet breakfast, visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Built in 1395, it is the largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty. Wear the Hanbok as you walk through the palace grounds. Later, participate in a Kimchi-making masterclass. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, visit the Insa-dong Cultural Street and the Jogyesa Temple built in the 14th century, is the Jogyesa Temple, is center of Buddhism in South Korea. Return to Myeongdong.

Seoul – Excursion to DMZ – Lotte Tower Mall Sky Observatory

Visit the Imjingak Park, Dora Observatory and the Tonglichon Unification village. Also experience the 3rd Tunnel that the North Korean regime dug to infiltrate Seoul. Enjoy a local lunch. Afterwards, visit the Lotte Tower Sky Observatory to get an aerial view of Seoul and its suburbs. Later, walk along Seokchon Lake.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED
• All tours will be operated subject to a minimum of 25 full paying passengers traveling together. In case there are less than 25 full paying passengers the clients will be given an option of travelling on another departure date.
• Standard check-in at hotels is 1400-1500 hours and check out is 1100-1200 hours.
• The Tour Cost is a combination of various arrangements and multiple services, and hence cannot be calculated on an individual service basis. The tour cost is one single component and not calculated individually.
• Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case two people are sharing a room and one of them cancels the tour.
• Passengers taking early morning flights will be provided with boxed/packed breakfast.
• Keeping in view the luggage compartments of coaches, trains & internal flight regulations, we strongly recommend you to carry only medium size luggage and 1 carry-on/cabin bag per person.
• The granting of Visas is at the sole discretion of the Embassy or Consulate. Air Tours Holidays is not responsible for granting of visas and are only a facilitator in the visa application process and any situation arising out of delay in granting visas by the authorities has to be sorted by the clients.
• In case you are not able to continue the tour due to loss of passport, theft, illness, or any other life-event beyond our control, Air Tours is not liable to give any refund on unutilized services.
• Please note that in case any clients loses their passport, the cost of getting a new passport and necessary charges to revise the arrangement to return home will be borne by client, and there will be no refund for any unutilized services.
• Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay in flights or change in Schedule by the airline and any situations arising out of the same. Any damages caused to the hotel rooms/coach during your stay, shall be payable by the passengers. Air Tours will not be liable for the same.
• Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement.
• Air Tours will not be liable in any loss of baggage by the Airline. However, we will provide assistance in tracing any lost baggage.
• Air Tours reserves the right to charge any additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such losses or expenses must be borne by the passengers.
