Day 01  - Arrive Athens

Today, begin your beautiful journey of Greece with Airtours Holidays. Upon arrival at Athens airport, you
will be met by your Tour Manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs.
Transfer to the hotel. (Standard check-in time is 1500 hrs.). The remainder of the day is at leisure
to discover the ancient wonders of this city known as the cradle of Western Civilization and the
birthplace of democracy.

Day 02 - Athens – Guided city tour – Visit Acropolis and Acropolis Museum

After a buffet breakfast, explore Athens on a guided city tour. Visit the Acropolis, the ancient
architectural masterpiece built during the Golden Age of Athens, and then explore the new
Acropolis Museum, a striking modern building at the base of the monument where many of the
original statues from the Acropolis are displayed. Continue on to see the Panathenaic Stadium, the
ruins of the Temple of Zeus, and Hadrian’s Arch, built to celebrate the arrival of the Roman
Emperor Hadrian. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive past Constitution Square, and Athens Trilogy:
the University of Athens, the Academy of Athens, and the National Library. Also see the National
Garden, St. Paul’s Church, the Parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and more.

Day 03  - Athens – Delphi – Onto Kalambaka

After a buffet breakfast, check out, and drive to Delphi. On arrival, explore the UNESCO-listed
archaeological site of Delphi and learn how the city was considered the ‘Center of the World’ in
ancient Greece. Stand in awe before the dramatically situated Temple of Apollo, then discover
long-lost wonders at the Delphi Archaeological Museum, including the Charioteer of Delphi and the
Sphinx of Naxos. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive to Kalambaka. On arrival, check into your hotel.

Day 04  - Kalambaka – Meteora – Visit Rock Monasteries – Onto Olympia

After a buffet breakfast, check out and visit Meteora with its impressive scenery, ageless
monasteries suspended between earth and sky. Visit the monasteries of Great Meteoron and
Varlaam, perched atop towering sandstone formations, which for centuries provided truly
inaccessible retreats for the monks inside the Byzantine Monasteries see priceless historical and
religious treasures. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive to Olympia and check into your hotel.

Day 05 Olympia – Guided City Tour – Onto Athens

After a buffet breakfast, check out and proceed to Olympia stadium and museum. In the western
Peloponnese, in the “Valley of Gods”, lies the most celebrated sanctuary of ancient Greece and the
birthplace of the most important athletic mega-event of all times, the Olympic Games. At ancient
Olympia stands the impressive ruins of the area where athletes trained and ran. Visit the
museum and see some sculptures such as the sculpted decoration of the temple of Zeus – one of
the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the famous Hermes of Praxiteles and the statue of Nike
of Paionios. Enjoy a local lunch. Later, drive to Athens and check into your hotel.

Day 06 - Athens – Onto Santorini – Fira

After a buffet breakfast, check out and transfer to Athens Airport to board the flight to Santorini.
Arrive at the beautiful island of Santorini, with its sapphire blue water, snow-white architecture, and
multi- coloured cliffs, considered one of the world’s most enchanting getaways. Later, free time for

Day 07  - Full day Santorini Island tour – Oia

After a buffet breakfast, see the 16th century Monastery of Prophet Elias which was built on the
highest point of the Island 567 meters above sea level. From there you will enjoy a panoramic view
of the whole island. Thereafter transfer to the village of Pyrgos, with its Cycladic architecture,
Byzantine churches and a Venetian Castle. The village is one of the highest points of the Island
and the view is amazing – overlooking the Northwest part of Santorini. Drive to Megalochori, one of
the most traditional villages on the island. Stroll through the narrow streets and admire the
traditional architecture. Later, visit the archaeological excavation site of ancient Akrotiri, a former
Bronze Age settlement located on the southwest of the island. Explore the ancient city that was
frozen in time after a volcanic eruption 3,600 years ago. Enjoy a local lunch. Transfer to the
traditional village of Oia which is on the northern tip of the island, high on the cliff top. Oia hosts the
most magnificent views of Santorini and a picturesque road with cliffs on one side and sea on the
other; leads to this attractive village typical of Santorini’s architecture with houses sunk deep into
the volcanic soil, their whitewashed walls and blue domes sparkling in the sunlight. Witness a
beautiful sunset.

Day 08  - Santorini – Athens

After a boxed/buffet breakfast, check out and transfer to board the speed ferry from Santorini to

Day 09  - Athens – fly to Istanbul – Enjoy the Bosphorus Cruise

After buffet / boxed breakfast checkout and transfer to Athens Airport for your flight to Istanbul.
Upon arrival embark on a cruise along the Bosphorus, along the shores there is a delightful mix of the past and the present,
as well as the grand splendour and quaint beauty of the ancient wooden
villas, palaces of marble, fortresses and small fishing villages. Later check-in to your hotel.

Day 10  - Onto Cappadocia – See Zelve – Pasabag Valley and Uçhisar Citadel (from outside)

After a boxed/buffet breakfast, check out and proceed to the airport for your flight to Kayseri. On
arrival at Kayseri Airport, drive to the Cappadocia region. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive to Zelve
(Pasabag) to see the Fairy Chimneys. Zelve is an abandoned village that existed until a short time
ago. Also see Uçhisar, which is situated on the edge of Göreme Historical National Park,
dominated by a 60-metre-high castle mountain, which is visible over a wide distance and has the
form of a large cylindrical tower. Later check-in to your hotel.

Day 11  - Cappadocia – Carpet & Pottery Atelier – Özkonak Underground City- See the Pigeon
Valley and Avanos

After a buffet breakfast, visit a pottery atelier and experience a pottery making demonstration. After
a local lunch, visit Özkonak Underground City. Later, see Pigeon Valley and Avanos Town. Also
visit a Carpet Handcraft center.

Day 12  - Fly to Izmir – Visit Ephesue – See Sirince Village – Onto Kusadasi

After a boxed/buffet breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to İzmir. On
arrival, drive towards Kuşadası. En route at Ephesus, visit the House of the Virgin Mary. Continue
your journey through Ephesus and see the ruins of Odeon, Hercules’ Gate, the mostly intact
Greco-Roman Theatre at Panayir Hill and Basilica of St John. After a local lunch, see Şirince
Village on top of a hill. Arrive Kuşadası and check-in to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at
leisure.

Day 13  - Visit Pamukkale Cotton Fortress – See City of Hierapolis – Onto Izmir

After a boxed/buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Pamukkale for a full-day tour. Visit
Pamukkale Cotton Fortress with its travertines. Later, see the ancient city of Hierapolis, that is
home to the Necropolis with about 1,200 tombs. Later Enjoy a local lunch. Later return to the hotel.

Day 14  - Kuşadası – Onto Istanbul – Guided city tour – Hagia Sophia – Hippodrome

After a buffet breakfast, check out and transfer to the Izmir airport for your flight to Istanbul. Arrive
Istanbul. Enjoy a local lunch. Later visit Hagia Sophia (closed on Mondays), the Byzantine
Hippodrome, in which stands the Obelisk brought from Egypt by Theodosius and the Serpent
Column brought from Delphi by Constantine.Tonight enjoy an Indian dinner.

Day 15  - Guided city tour – Visit Topkapı Palace – Grand Bazaar – Blue Mosque – Spice Market

After a buffet breakfast, proceed on a full day city tour of Istanbul. Start with the Topkapı
Palace(closed on Tuesday), an Ottoman ruler’s palace complex. Thereafter visit the famous
Grand Bazaar (closed on Sunday) dating back to the 15th century. It covers over 4,000 shops
under one roof. Enjoy a local lunch. Also visit the Blue Mosque (closed to visit on Friday
morning due to Friday prayers), which has five main domes, six minarets and eight secondary
domes. Visit the Spice Market. Later return to the hotel
