Day 01:
Arrive Tokyo – Welcome to Japan!
Today, begin your beautiful journey of Japan with Airtours Holidays.
Arrive at Narita Airport where you will be met by your Tour Manager at the arrival area after clearing immigration and customs. The coach will depart from the airport between 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM considering most flights arrive at Narita airport around that time. Kindly manage your own transfer if you are unable to meet the Tour Manager at the designated time. Then check-in to the hotel.

Day 02:
Guided City Tour – River Sumida Cruise – Asakusa Sensō-ji Temple – Visit Shinjuku Gyo-en
After a buffet breakfast, proceed on a guided tour of Tokyo. Start with a cruise on River Sumida and enjoy the landscape of Tokyo from the river. Then, visit the 7th Century Buddhist Sensō-ji Temple in the Asakusa District. Also walk through the Nakamise Shopping Street, which has been in existence since the 17th century. Enjoy a local lunch. Drive past the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. Visit Shinjuku Gyo-en, that has been around since the Edo Period (1603-1868) as a feudal lord’s Tokyo residence. In 1949 it was dedicated to the citizens of Japan as a public park.

Day 03:
Visit Tokyo Tower – Zōjō-ji Temple – TeamLab Planets
After a buffet breakfast, visit Tokyo Tower, that was constructed in1958, and is an enduring icon of Japan. Get a bird’s eye view of Tokyo from the Main Observation Deck at 150 metres. Later visit the Zōjō-ji Temple, an impressive temple complex housing the tombs of six Tokugawa shoguns. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, visit TeamLab Planets and experience immersive art involving light, water, and sound.

Day 04:
Tokyo – Hakone Ropeway – Lake Ashi Cruise – Mount Fuji – On to Nagano
After a buffet breakfast, check out and drive to Hakone and take the Hakone Scenic Ropeway. Thereafter, embark on a cruise on Lake Ashi. Enjoy a local lunch. Later, drive to experience the majestic Mt Fuji, Japan’s most famous symbol! Take in the amazing view of the valley below from Mt Fuji (3rd/4th/5th Station – weather conditions permitting). Day 05:
Nagano – Matsumoto – On to Kanazawa
After a buffet breakfast, check out and proceed for a photo-stop at the Matsumoto Castle – a black, moated castle with a wooden keep that is the oldest in Japan, with the Northern Alps as its backdrop. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive to the village of Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you will discover steep thatched-roof Gassho houses that have been around since the 11th century. This unique architectural style, harmonized into the magnificent mountain landscape was developed to help the inhabitants to survive the extremely harsh winter. Walk around the village to experience daily life in this remote area. Drive to Kanazawa and visit the Nomura-ke Samurai House. You can walk through the different levels of the house to see the living quarters and gardens that are well-preserved even to this day

Day 06:
Kinpaku Experience – Kenroku-en – On to Osaka
After a buffet breakfast, check out and proceed to experience Kinpaku – the usage of Gold Leaf. Bring back home your own postcard decorated with gold leaf. Thereafter, proceed to the beautiful Kenroku-en, one of the most fascinating gardens in Japan and marvel at the waterfalls, ponds and charming tea-houses. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive to Osaka.

Day 07:
Excursion to Kyoto – Kiyomizu-dera – Arashiyama Bamboo Grove – Kinkaku-ji Temple – Nijo-jo – Osaka
After a buffet breakfast, drive to Kyoto and visit the Kiyomizu-dera temple complex, a Buddhist temple located in eastern Kyoto. Later, head to the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, one of Kyoto’s top sights. Enjoy a local lunch. Later drive to Kinkaku-ji Temple and marvel at the Golden Pavilion. Then visit Nijo-jo, a castle with historical importance. Return to Osaka.Tonight enjoy an Indian dinner

Day 08:
Excursion to Hiroshima – Miyajima Island – Peace Memorial Museum – Osaka
After a buffet breakfast, transfer to Hiroshima by bullet train. Drive to Miyajima Ferry Pier to embark on a ferry ride which to Miyajima Island. See the floating Torii Gates – the second most photographed monument in Japan and see the Itsukushima Jinja Shrine. Take the ferry back to the mainland. Enjoy a local lunch. Drive to Hiroshima – the city where time stood still when it was devastated during World War II by the Atom bomb. See the Cenotaph which is a tribute to all those people who died due to the bombing. See the Atom Bomb Dome – the only building that remained after the bombing which has now become the symbol of Hiroshima. Visit the Peace Memorial Museum. Later transfer to Osaka by Bullet train.

Day 09:
Excursion to Nara – Deer Park – Tōdai-ji Temple – Umeda Sky Tower – Osaka-jo Photo-stop
After a buffet breakfast proceed to Nara, the first capital of Japan, dating back to the 8th century. Visit the Tōdai-ji Temple has the largest bronze statue of Buddha in Japan, also called the Great Daibutsu. See the deer in their natural habitat the deer are designated as a national treasure and have become a symbol of the city. Enjoy a local lunch. Later, visit Umeda Sky Tower, one of the Osaka’s which consists of two 40-storey towers that are connect at their top with bridges and an escalator crossing the wide atrium-like space in the center. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of Osaka from the observation deck. Later, visit Osaka Castle, one of the renowned castles of Japan.

Seoul – Gyeongbokgung Palace – Insa-dong Cultural Street – Jogyesa Temple
After a buffet breakfast, visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Built in 1395, it is the largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty. Wear the Hanbok as you walk through the palace grounds. Later, participate in a Kimchi-making masterclass. Enjoy a local lunch. Thereafter, visit the Insa-dong Cultural Street and the Jogyesa Temple built in the 14th century, is the Jogyesa Temple, is center of Buddhism in South Korea. Day 12:
Seoul – Excursion to DMZ – Lotte Tower Mall Sky Observatory
After a buffet breakfast, transfer to the DMZ (Demilitarised Zone), which serves as a buffer zone between South Korea and North Korea. Visit the Imjingak Park, Dora Observatory and the Tonglichon Unification village. Also experience the 3rd Tunnel that the North Korean regime dug to infiltrate Seoul. Enjoy a local lunch. Afterwards, visit the Lotte Tower Sky Observatory to get an aerial view of Seoul and its suburbs. Later, walk along Seokchon Lake.
